We are excited to announce a Fall MINI-Session event!

If you are interested in booking a mini-session in Kansas City for Saturday, October 9th, please call the studio at 816-213-3045. We are booking back-to-back time slots for one day only! Special pricing can be viewed below.

For $49 you receive:
20 minute photography session
1-3 children photographed
30 minute in-person ordering appointment (at a later date)
8-10 fully-edited artistic proofs to choose from

Some limitations do apply!
Babies must be sitting independently – newborns, infants and parents will not be photographed.
Each 20 minute session can accommodate siblings only – friends cannot share a session.
A la carte purchasing is unavailable – all those who order will need to select a Collection from the special pricing viewable below.

Mini-session time slots are reserved only after the $49 session fee has been received. Only a limited number of time slots are available.

Will we have more mini-sessions? Not this year! Mini-sessions are great for capturing a few special images of your children without investing in a full standard session. They can help mark a memorable moment in your child’s life – his precious smile at 9 months old, her 5th year birthday, etc.

One of my favorite things to do when preparing for a portrait session is to talk about wardrobe. With child sessions, especially individual  kid sessions, the possibilities are so much FUN. Worries about coordination fly right out the window… but, for most children or family sessions, I usually photograph more than one person and coordinating outfits becomes a topic for conversation.

One of my faaaaaaaaaaaaaavorite stops to shop for kids clothing is Mini-Boden. Bright, colorful, trendy and great quality. Below, I picked a few of their outfit ideas for little girls, and I think their duo combinations would be great for a set of sisters. So, if you have two little girls in your life – take a look and see what they have to offer! Notice how the colors coordinate, but nothing is matchy-matchy. Each piece could be exchanged between the two outfits, creating a cohesive but interesting look. And Mom or Dad, if you’re interested in coordinating too, go take a look at Boden and see what they have for you.

Anyway, I am SO over this cold weather. And you would think that with all this time spent cooped up indoors, I might have gotten a jumpstart on my blogging resolution for this year. But, NOPE. Another great benefit of Polyvore is that anyone can sign up – so clients are free to design their own look in preparation for a session and email me for input after making their selections. This will especially be helpful when a session includes several siblings or an entire family – as coordinating a unified look can prove to be a challenge. Polyvore allows users to mix and match items from any store online, and even import items from vendors that aren’t already listed. Everything from colors to price to style and specific items can be selected when searching on Polyvore!

It’s fun and addictive to play with… so have fun shopping!

Since the end of summer is quickly approaching, many beautiful summer items are now on sale! If you have a session scheduled for August, now is the time to start shopping! Fall items are already in stores and summer boutique clothing will soon be gone until next year…
