Meet Jack | Liberty Missouri Family Photographer

This little guy is just as precious as can be! Jack looks just like his mama to me, and I loved getting to photograph his newborn session at only a few days old. Doesn’t he have the most beautiful eyes? He was awake quite a bit during our session (ahem) but we eventually tuckered him out, despite his determination! Once he was out, he was out.

I think what struck me most during this session was just how raptly in love Jack’s parents were with him. His mom couldn’t stop herself from saying, over and over, “I just love him SO much!” and “He’s just the CUTEST baby, EVER!” It always warms my heart to see a beloved new baby with his blissfully happy parents.

Expecting | Kansas City Maternity Photographer

Isn’t this pregnant mommy just SO GORGEOUS? Danielle definitely has that “glow!” Her joy in expecting their first baby was evident in every photo I took during our maternity portrait session. It was a rainy, cold day in December – but her smile lit up every photograph, and I completely enjoyed capturing Danielle and Zach’s happiness at the impending arrival of their newborn baby boy.

Family Portraits | Kansas City Family Photography in Liberty, Missouri

You may recognize this family from our portrait session here, when Elizabeth was only six months old. Time flies so fast with babies! We had a holiday family portrait photography session together this past fall, and I loved seeing how she has grown.

This little family always warms my heart. So much love! Enjoy their sweetness.

A little rascal | Kansas City Photographer & Liberty, Missouri Photographer

I photographed Jackson at Shoal Creek Living History Museum in Hodge Park near Liberty, where we met up to take his portraits. This 17-month-old guy was a tough little tornado – all about the action! I loved getting to spend some time with such a curious boy. My bet is that he will grow up and always be “the man with a plan!” He knew just what he wanted and where he was going. His mom, Crystal, was super helpful and sweet! I love when parents really engage their kids during a child’s portrait session, even if they aren’t in the photographs – it helps keep the especially young toddlers guided while I capture their natural expressions. She sang, danced, chased and played – and we got lots of adorableness for her efforts.

Anneston’s First Birthday Portraits | Baby Child Family Photographer

I think Anneston has to be one of the happiest and most easygoing babies I’ve ever encountered! The cooler fall weather didn’t seem to bother Anneston at all, and she had smiles throughout the entire family photography session. I can’t ask for more than that – especially from a one-year-old baby, celebrating her first birthday with outdoor portraits!

These photographs were taken at Englewood Park in North Kansas City. Aren’t the autumn colors lovely?

Enjoy Anneston’s adorable smile and her sweet family! All three of them were just precious together!

Peyton turns two! | Liberty Missouri Child Photographer

Peyton is an irresistible little sweetheart! She has an easy laugh and a quick grin, combined with such a beautiful smile. I loved capturing her two year old portraits! For her session, Peyton’s mom ordered an absolutely ahhhhdorable custom-made tutu and shirt that was just too cute. (I get so excited when my clients personalize their child’s photography session with uber cute and meaningful details.) Peyton is Elmo’s biggest fan, and years from now, these photographs will instantly bring to mind the precious days of her second year and how much she loved a little furry red guy.

Enjoy her gorgeous smile as much as I did! It was lovely to meet you, sweet girl!

Newborn baby Charlotte has arrived, and she is just as precious as can be! So cozy and cuddly. (And I think she looks just like a dark-haired version of her two-year-old big sister, Caroline.) Charlotte’s family was absolutely THRILLED to meet her! And isn’t Caroline such a sweet big sister?

Fewer moments are more beautiful than that of a mother falling in love with her new baby. Love!

Maternity & 2nd Year Birthday portraits! | Liberty Maternity Photographer

I met this happy family for a photography session at Weston Red Barn Farm! It was really fun to capture Tim, Courtney and little miss Caroline as they celebrate her 2nd birthday and anticipate the arrival of her new baby sister!

Courtney has that beautiful glow of pregnancy, and Caroline is just PRECIOUS. I wanted to scoop her up and eat those cheeks! And Tim? He was an amazing sport, and so sweet with his little cherub.

Courtney also had a cupcake on hand – since the day of our session was actually Caroline’s birthday! She dived right in, and that sparkly pink frosting couldn’t outshine her gorgeous blue eyes!

She was a BIG fan of the basket of strawberries. Eventually we had to secretly treat the chickens to a few, since Caroline wasn’t going to give them up until each was in her tummy!I love the pretty back light here.She really wanted to SHARE her deep love for strawberries, too. Courtney is just lovely, and her beautiful belly is too!A few more of pretty Caroline!LOVE this little series – so funny!So cute!I love the colors of her paisley dress – perfect for her! She is just naturally stunning.

It was lovely to meet all of you, and I can’t wait for Baby to make her arrival!

Newborn Max | Liberty, Missouri Newborn Photographer

We have a new cousin! My sweet niece is now a big sister to newborn baby Max, who is just as precious as can be. He came to see us at day 5, still freshly tuckered out from birth. I loved capturing these moments between big sister and baby brother, and of course mom and dad and sweet baby boy.

Max shares his papa’s middle name, and I think the two of them look quite a bit alike, too. But time will tell – babies change so quickly!

We love you, Baby Max.

Is anything sweeter than the awe of a new big sister? She was so careful with her little guy.
