I photographed Jackson at Shoal Creek Living History Museum in Hodge Park near Liberty, where we met up to take his portraits. This 17-month-old guy was a tough little tornado – all about the action! I loved getting to spend some time with such a curious boy. My bet is that he will grow up and always be “the man with a plan!” He knew just what he wanted and where he was going. His mom, Crystal, was super helpful and sweet! I love when parents really engage their kids during a child’s portrait session, even if they aren’t in the photographs – it helps keep the especially young toddlers guided while I capture their natural expressions. She sang, danced, chased and played – and we got lots of adorableness for her efforts.
