My husband is home today, having taken off the Friday before the holiday weekend in order to help me move my office. And as usual, whenever we find ourselves very occupied in a project, Annabelle finds an extra creative way – ahem – to entertain herself.
She has a new favorite book.
She was delighted to discover these stickers among my stash of office supplies, and overjoyed when I told her that sure, she could have them. And then she disappeared, only to resurface and tell me she was “sick.”

My oldest daughter LOVED Arthur… but the youngest, not ever having read this book – pulled the same stunt with a marker. I still have a photo of her with “polka spots” all over her face, framed in the living room. She couldn’t figure how I knew she wasn’t really sick!
