What to Wear Wednesday | Kansas City, Missouri Kids Photographer

Weee! The sun is shining. (Hey snow, your days are numbered.) We are halfway through February, Spring is on the horizon… and the puffy jackets will soon be relegated to the hall closet. Yay!

One of my favorite things to do when preparing for a portrait session is to talk about wardrobe. With child sessions, especially individual kid sessions, the possibilities are so much FUN. Worries about coordination fly right out the window… but, for most children or family sessions, I usually photograph more than one person and coordinating outfits becomes a topic for conversation.

One of my faaaaaaaaaaaaaavorite stops to shop for kids clothing is Mini-Boden. Bright, colorful, trendy and great quality. Below, I picked a few of their outfit ideas for little girls, and I think their duo combinations would be great for a set of sisters. So, if you have two little girls in your life – take a look and see what they have to offer! Notice how the colors coordinate, but nothing is matchy-matchy. Each piece could be exchanged between the two outfits, creating a cohesive but interesting look.
