I recently discovered Polyvore and it has completely revolutionized my ability to suggest clothing choices for future photography sessions! Here is an ensemble I put together for a client who wants to shop locally at babyGap in Oak Park Mall for her four young toddlers. Click the image to be transported directly to my set on Polyvore. The best part is that each clothing item is available with a link – and makes shopping very easy! My set on Polyvore contains a link and details of every item displayed.
BabyGap: Tiered tulle skirt – classic brown, $30
BabyGap: Printed corduroy dress – classic brown, $30
BabyGap: Twill cargo pants – highland green, $25
BabyGap: Twill cargo pants – highland green, $25
BabyGap: French ribbed crewneck pullover – oatmeal, $17
Another great benefit of Polyvore is that anyone can sign up – so clients are free to design their own look in preparation for a session and email me for input after making their selections. This will especially be helpful when a session includes several siblings or an entire family – as coordinating a unified look can prove to be a challenge. Polyvore allows users to mix and match items from any store online, and even import items from vendors that aren’t already listed. Everything from colors to price to style and specific items can be selected when searching on Polyvore!
It’s fun and addictive to play with… so have fun shopping!
